Yahoo! Discover Purple Event Series
It’s no surprise that Yahoo loves a good party. And a few years after the pandemic, when the world started opening up, Yahoo found it vital to reconnect with partners. After some thought and strategy, Yahoo’s Events team felt that the best way for us to reconnect with our global partners was to hold a series of specially curated events ranging from New York to London. This included events such as; Elton John’s Farewell Tour, NYC Tennis Open, and a unique dining experience at Roux at the Landau in London.
The invitation needed to become more than just an email, it needed to be an experience. Our team created a few concepts but ultimately led with what would become a 3D version of a Yahoo Cityscape. Our invitees would drop into our landing page and scroll down through the purple city and through the Yahoo building’s door to discover their special event.

From sketches, to vector, to final 3D creation, this project took plenty hands to deliver a Yahoo Cityscape.
OUR TASTY LONDON EXPERIENCE
From New York, USA it was time to set sail across the pond to indulge our partners in a fine dining experience at one of London’s top restaurants, Roux at the Landau. Known for their exquisite gourmet French cuisine dishes that look like works of art themselves, we wanted to take a more elevated approach towards the creative while still following the campaign’s overall design.
Instead of being an illustration-based design, I decided to pair the photography with typography and smaller blossoms of illustrations to have a bigger focus on the amazing dishes that would be served during this experience.
